An app built to get you fishing more often. It covers the whole trip - planning and packing beforehand, spots, conditions and tips while you're out, and your season, your crew and your challenges afterwards.

How is it different from other fishing apps?

Most fishing apps are efficiency tools - they help you catch more fish in less time. That is useful, but it is not why most people fish less than they would like. Go Fish is built around participation: the planning, the people, and the reasons to go again. We do spots and conditions well, but that is the table stakes, not the point.

Who is Go Fish for?

Anyone who fishes, or wishes they fished more often. If you're already out every week, you'll still find plenty here - but we're really building this for the person whose gear has been sitting in the garage since August.

I mostly fish alone. Is this for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and we have built it that way deliberately. Every part of the app that matters most - the planning, the licence and rules, the conditions, the packing list, the gear, the log and your own statistics - works entirely on your own. Nothing is shared unless you share it. The social features are there for the days you want company, and they sit out of the way on the days you do not.

Why are you building it?

We kept opening five apps and a municipal website just to plan one evening of fishing, and none of them treated fishing as something people actually do together. We asked around properly - a survey and interviews, not just our own frustration - and it turned out we weren't the only ones stuck doing it the hard way.

Which countries will it be available in?

Accepted Answer

Norway at launch. Rules, licences and species are all local, so each new market is real work, not a quick translation. After Norway, we're heading across the Nordics and into the rest of Europe.

Yes. Norwegian and English at launch, more languages as we expand.
