This Policy applies specifically to the Go Fish mobile application available on the Android and iOS platforms. The Policy does not apply to our website or other services unless explicitly stated.

10. Tracking and Analytics
Go Fish uses tracking and analytics technology to understand how users interact with the app, identify issues, and improve functionality, performance, and user experience. On iOS devices, Go Fish may request permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to collect certain cross-session usage data for analytics purposes.
Tracking may include the use of device identifiers and usage signals to help us:
• Understand feature usage and navigation patterns
• Improve onboarding, performance, and reliability
• Detect errors and technical issues
Go Fish does not display advertisements and does not use tracking for targeted advertising.
You are not required to allow tracking to use Go Fish. If you decline tracking permission, your experience will not be limited, but we may have less insight into how the app is used.
You can manage or withdraw your tracking permission at any time via your device's privacy settings:

11. Legal Requirements
We may use or disclose your personal data to comply with a legal obligation, in connection with a request from a public authority, or in connection with legal proceedings, to prevent loss of life or injury, or to protect our rights or property. We may use third-party service providers, independent contractors, agencies, or consultants to deliver and help us improve our products and services. We may share your personal data with marketing agencies, database service providers, backup and disaster recovery services, email service providers, and others, but only to maintain and improve our products and services.

In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify you and any relevant supervisory authority when we are legally required to do so.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16.

1. What we collect

Content you create: catches, photos, spots, challenge entries and community posts.

2. Why we collect it
To run your account, show conditions for the water you fish, keep challenge results fair, fix bugs, and improve the app. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your private spots for advertising.
3. Location data
Location is used to show nearby spots, weather and regulations. You choose whether a logged catch is private, shared with friends, or public. Precise coordinates of a spot you mark private are never shown to other anglers.
4. Sharing
We use a small number of processors for hosting, analytics, email and crash reporting. They act on our instructions only. A current list is available on request.
5. Storage & retention
Data is stored on servers inside the EU/EEA. We keep your account data while your account is active, and delete or anonymise it within [x] days of deletion.

7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it and is logged. If a breach affects your data we will notify you and the supervisory authority as required by GDPR.
8. Children
GoFish is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, write to privacy@gofish-app.com and we will remove it.
9. Your rights
Under GDPR you can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to certain processing. Write to privacy@gofish-app.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
10. Cookies
The website uses necessary cookies plus optional analytics cookies you can decline in the banner or change later in cookie settings. Declining analytics does not limit anything on the site.

We will announce material changes in the app before they take effect. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
