Help us get it right before launch.
Beta testers get to try Go Fish before anyone else and tell us what they want. Not a preview, actual influence over what ships.

What beta testing actually involves
You get Go Fish on your phone before launch: the trip planner, the crews, the catch logging, the conditions and the challenges, while all of it is still being shaped.
In return we ask you to use it on real trips and tell us what's wrong. Every bug you find, every screen that confuses you, every feature you think we've built backwards - that's worth far more now than after launch, when changing it is expensive and thousands of people have already met the mistake.
Testing on a sofa finds a fraction of the problems. Fishing apps break in the rain, in gloves, in bright sun and out of signal. That's why we need anglers and testers.
How the application process works
STEP 1
Apply
Tell us how and where you fish, and why you want to test it. Five minutes.
STEP 2
We read it
Every application is read by us. We're building a mix of waters, methods, experience levels and devices - not just the keenest applicants.
STEP 3
We reply
You'll hear from us either way. If it's a yes, we will tell you exactly what happens next.
Step 4
You are in
Instructions for installing through TestFlight on iOS or Google Play testing on Android, and a direct line to us.

Who we are looking for
You don't need to be an expert. You need to fish often enough to notice when something is off, and be willing to say so.
You fish regularly
Often enough that a season of trips will properly test the app.
You'll tell us what is needed
Polite feedback is useless to us. We want the version you would give a friend.
You'll fish with it, not just open it
On the water, in real conditions, on your own phone.
iOS or Android
Either. We need both.
Before you apply
Being a beta tester means using an early, unfinished version of Go Fish and telling us honestly what works and what doesn't. Here's what that actually looks like:
Time commitment
A few trips and a short round of feedback
Duration
The beta runs in the months before our fall 2026 launch
How you'll get access
TestFlight on iOS, Google Play testing on Android.
Spots available
Limited, selected on a rolling basis.
What we ask of you
Honest feedback, and some patience with an unfinished app
What we won't ask
Payment, or a fixed schedule.
Apply to be a beta tester
A few questions so we can build a group that covers real fishing rather than one type of angler. We read every application and reply either way.
